For Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI):

The application process for ASIs involves an in-person ticket fee of Rs.10/-. Be sure to have this fee ready. Applicants can submit the applications during office hours, but remember, public holidays are exceptions.

Application fee (Revenue):

Police Inspector (INS) Applicant will be required to pay a fee of Rs. 1200 (one thousand two hundred) when submitting your application online. Additionally, if candidates apply to more than one group, a fee of 20 percent (Rs. 240) for each group will be applicable.
Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) The application fee is Rs. 500 (five hundred). If candidates apply for more than one group, a 20 percent surcharge (Rs. 100) will be levied for each additional group.

Age Limit: 

Police Inspector (INS)
  • Applicants should be a minimum of 20 years of age and a maximum of 25 years of age as of the last application date. However, in the case of unaffiliated police officers participating in open recruitment, the age limit is not more than 35 years. Furthermore, the age should be less than 35 years for police officers or existing police personnel.
  • For police officers below the rank of incumbent, they must have more than 25 years of service as per Rule 40 of the Police Regulations, 2071 (revised)
Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI)
  • Applicants must have reached the age of 18 years by the last date of submission of the application form. For those unaffiliated police officers participating in open recruitment, the age should be between 24 and 35 years, and they should have attained the basic salary of a police officer.
  • For police officers below the rank of incumbent, they must have more than 25 years of service as per Rule 40 of the Police Regulations, 2071 (revised)

Minimum Qualifications Requird:

Police Inspector (INS) Educational Qualification: Applicants must have graduated from a recognized university or its equivalent.
Clean Record: Candidates should have a clean record, free from any involvement in moral fallacies, human rights violations, and violations of humanitarian law.
Political Affiliation: Candidates must not be a member of the Queen's Party or any other political party.
Terrorist Organizations: Applicants should not be associated with any terrorist organization.
Physical Requirements: 
  - Male: Height: 5.2 feet, Chest: 31-33 inches, Weight: 50 kg
  - Female: Height: 5 feet, Weight: At least 42 kg
Eyesight: Vision correction should be within the range of not more than minus 2 or plus 2.
Proof of Identity: Applicants must provide proof of identity from an authorized officer designated by the Nepal Police Headquarters. This proof of identity will be required during the examination process.
Nationality: Candidates must be Nepalese citizens.
Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI)

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed the certificate level (10+2) or its equivalent from a recognized university or educational institution.
