    Hyperlink, Image & Table


    • The <a> tag defines a hyperlink, which is used to link from one page to another.
    • The most important attribute of the element is the href attribute, which indicates the link's destination.
    • By default, an unvisited link is underlined and blue in color.
    • By default, a visited link is underlined and purple in color.
    • By default, an active link is underlined and red in color.
    • When you move the cursor over a link in a webpage, the arrow will turn into a little hand.
    • If the <a> tag has no href attribute, it is only a placeholder for a hyperlink.
    • A linked page is normally displayed in the current browser window unless you specify another target.
    • The HTML <img> tag is used to embed an image in a web page.
    • The <img> tag is an empty tag, it contains attributes only, and does not have a closing tag.
    • Attributes of <img> tag
      • src: It defines the name of the file in which the image is to be found.
      • width: To specify the width of the image in pixels.
      • height: To specify the height of the image in pixels.
      • align: To wrap the text around the image file
      • alt: To display the alternate text
    • The browser displays the image where the <img> tag occurs in the document.
    • The required alt attribute specifies an alternate text for an image if the image cannot be displayed.
    • The attribute values are specified in pixels by default.
    • HTML tables allow us to arrange data into rows and columns.
    • A table is divided into rows (with the <tr> tag), and each row is divided into data cell (with the <td> tag). td stands for "table data" and holds the content of a data cell. A <td> tag can contain text, links, images, lists, forms, other tables, etc.
    • The <table> tag defines an HTML table.
    • Each table row is defined with a <tr> tag.
    • Each table header is defined with a <th> tag.
    • Each table data/cell is defined with a <td> tag.
    • By default, the text in <th> elements are bold and centered.
    • By default, the text in <td> elements are regular and left-aligned.
